Welcome to Wantirna Primary School
Wantirna Primary School has been part of our community since 1912. It began as a small rural school on Mountain Highway, built on land donated by the Finger family to provide local children with access to education. The original 1912 schoolhouse still stands today and serves as our art room, connecting our students to over a century of learning and community history.
Our School Today
At Wantirna Primary School, students are at the heart of everything we do. Our vision is for every child to have a high-quality education where they thrive, achieve, and belong.
We are committed to providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment where students can develop into independent and confident lifelong learners. Our teachers know each student well and provide personalised learning experiences that challenge thinking and foster growth.
The Strength of a Small School
Being a small school gives us a distinct advantage. Every staff member knows every student. This allows us to create a supportive learning environment tailored to each child's needs, interests, and abilities.
Here, no child goes unnoticed. Each student is known, valued, and supported to reach their potential.
