Meet our Staff

I am grateful to have joined the Wantirna Primary School community. Everybody is so welcoming and I am enjoying getting to know everyone. I am dedicated to sharing my love of learning, developing resilience, and creating a happy and safe classroom for my students. When I am not in the classroom you will find me spending time with my family, camping, or out in the garden.

I am delighted to join the Wantirna Primary School community and look forward to getting to know the students, families and staff. I have enjoyed teaching in classroom and specialist roles, both locally and internationally, and love creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported to achieve their best. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, exploring new places and, like many parents, spending plenty of time driving to various activities.

I love working at Wantirna Primary School because it has a wonderful community feel. I love that I know the name of every student and staff member and get the opportunity to learn about them and their interests. Outside of school I enjoy playing volleyball, playing with my dogs, spending time with family and playing different types of games.

My passion is seeing the whole child and helping them to develop a love for learning. I am a firm believer in public education and its positive benefits for society and the community.

I have been a classroom teacher for 20 years and am still learning! I love it when students are inspired, and I am constantly looking for ways to spark their curiosity!  I am lucky to teach Visual Arts, Inquiry, STEAM and library and I enjoy assisting students to develop their critical thinking skills and helping them to develop a broader worldview.

Auslan is taught by Helen Edwards, who also works as Assistant Principal and Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader.

I am honoured to be a part of such a welcoming and nurturing community here at Wantirna Primary School. I enjoy working as an Educational Support Staff Member and in Out of School Hours Care as I get to see the excitement of the students every time they walk through the door!

Outside of work, I enjoy Camping and the outdoors and most of all I like to have a good laugh with family and friends.

I’m thrilled to be part of the wonderful community here at Wantirna Primary School, and, like a family, we are invested in the general welfare of one another as well as that of the students.

As an Education Support, I’m passionate about creating a warm, inclusive space where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow. I believe that every small moment makes a big difference.

Outside of school, I am actively involved in community work such as the children’s church and the community feeding program. I love to travel, shop, eat, and read.

I am blessed every day to be doing what I love—supporting students as they learn, grow, and make memories.

I'm so grateful to be a part of an inclusive school environment, as an Educational support officer at Wantirna Primary School. Since starting here, the staff, students and school community have been so welcoming! What stands out for me is the inclusion to support each student to achieve their personal goals.

In my spare time, I love spending time with family, going for walks with my 2 dogs and watching my kids play sport. I also enjoy all water sports, gardening and cooking.

I am very happy to be a part of the Wantirna Primary School team and its welcoming and inclusive community. It is a pleasure to be working alongside such caring and dedicated staff. I have always been passionate about supporting and encouraging students to reach their full potential while having fun along the way. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends. The beach is my absolute happy place and I enjoy good coffee and lots of chocolate.

I am proud to be a part of the community at Wantirna PS, where I am surrounded by passionate and knowledgeable educators who support all students achieve their goals. I am passionate about inclusivity and advocacy, and I always have students' needs in mind.

I spend my downtime with my husband and cat, trying new recipes, and playing board games.

I am delighted to be part of the Wantirna Primary School community, working alongside passionate and dedicated educators who go above and beyond to help every student succeed. As an Educational Support, I am committed to inclusivity and advocacy, and I strive to help every student feel confident, capable and understood. 

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing my guitar and spending time with my family and friends.
